    POSITION TITLE:  School Bookkeeper � Arnall Middle School 
                                    $17.76 an hour / 8 hours a day / 220 days
    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    Provide secretarial services for the school principal, administrative staff and teachers.  Perform customary office routines and practices as may be required to assure the smooth and efficient operation of the school.  Maintain teacher/employee attendance reports.  Possess sound interpersonal skills necessary for meeting parents and the public.  Maintain files.  Comply with any reasonable oral or written directive of the school principal or other appropriate school staff.  Answer telephone/take messages/respond to caller's questions appropriately.  Excellent attendance and punctuality required. Maintain the financial records for the school. Process deposits, purchase orders, packing slips, invoices Prepare checks.
    REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING:
    Minimum high school diploma, secretarial, clerical, bookkeeping/accounting experience, and/or appropriate training.
    REQUIRED SKILLS:
    Practical knowledge of business English, general vocabulary, spelling, and modern office practices.  Ability to transcribe varied materials and compose routine memoranda and letters.  Ability to maintain clerical records.  Performs all advanced secretarial skills, word processing and computer skills. Sound interpersonal skills to meet and deal with the general public in an effective and tactful manner.
    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
    Three (3) years acceptable clerical experience, preferably in education.  Infinite Campus experience preferred.
