Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week 

$90,000-$110,000/Year

SUMMARY: Manage the day-to-day functions of the accounting department for Axess Family Services (AxessPointe Community Health Centers, Inc) and its subsidiary companies.

SUPERVISOR: Finance Director

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Management of the day-to-day functions and oversight of accounting department.

• Assist with streamlining the month-end closing process and providing timely reporting to the Agency board, programs and Federal, State and Local governmental grants and any other contracts.

• Work with team to review all balance reconciliations on a monthly basis.

• Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting, ensure that all expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period. Assist with analysis of collections for the health center segments of the business,

• Assist with annual the agency budget as well as any budgets required from the various funding sources.

• Strong Analytical skills.

• Assist with overseeing the annual audit and 990 completions.

• Oversee reports submitted to taxing authorities, funding bodies, and other appropriate organizations as required.

• Knowledge of FQHC operations preferred.

• Assist with accreditation process for COA and HRSA.

• Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA/HRSA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.

• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience required, preferably with Non-Profits.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to perform work required with minimal supervision.

• Experience preferred in complex non-profit organizations with very diverse programs and multiple subsidiary companies.

• Strong computers skills and knowledge of Microsoft products.

• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.

• Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check (Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation).

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). The employee will occasionally be working near moving mechanical parts, be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and exposed to a risk of electrical shock while running the copier, printer, other standard equipment and answering the telephone. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. Stress level can be high at times.
