Billing Specialist Job Details:

Snell & Wilmer is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Finance Department in our Phoenix location.  The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years legal billing experience in a mid-sized to large law firm.  A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel and Outlook is also required. Candidates must be detail oriented, organized, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment. Aderant or Elite experience is preferred.  Some college experience with an emphasis in accounting and experience using Prebill Manager is a plus. 

This position is primarily remote, but in-office presence is required for monthly team meetings and other various meetings as needed with advanced notice.  The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Use Prebill Manager and Aderant to accurately and timely process high volume of client invoices
• Ensure proper setup of new clients and matters, including rate management and maintenance
• Work closely with attorneys, legal staff, and clients to resolve complex billing challenges in a timely matter
• Ensure billing compliance with client outside counsel guidelines
• Develop and maintain smooth working relationships with attorneys, staff and teammates
• Undertake special projects and ad hoc reporting as requested

Experience and Qualifications:

• 1 to 3 years of legal billing experience
• Aderant or Elite experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – Both oral and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Must have outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
• Work both independently and within a team environment
• Able multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated and takes initiative
• Maintain strict confidentiality of clients, matters and timekeeper information
