HornBill's client is a CPA firm with a solid, growing family office practice that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Garden City, New York (NY). Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Day-to-day management of multiple accounting/bookkeeping engagements
- Maintain books/records for financial service clients including management companies for private equity and hedge funds and family offices for high net worth individuals
- Prepare month-end closing and adjusting entries
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports including compilation reports/footnotes
- Prepare reconciliations and work papers
- Assist in budget and forecasting process
- Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
- 4-10 years of accounting/bookkeeping, financial reporting, analysis and accounting experience; Recent public accounting experience is a plus
- Financial services industry and partnership accounting experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and QuickBooks; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong client service orientation
