Accounting Clerk

- Assist in day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and cash transactions.
- Assist with closing procedure, including processing journal entries and accruals.
- Assist with preparation of monthly account reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with gathering documentation for various internal and external audits.
- Support compliance with company policies.
- Learn and support additional accounting processes as they develop.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ year of experience in accounting or finance required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Experience in the industrial services or government sectors is a plus.
- The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in an automobile.
- May require walking and standing on irregular, uneven surfaces in an industrial setting and possibly at increased heights, climbing and descending ladders and ship stairways or entering confined spaces.
