Avalon is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team in Cleveland, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional who wants hands-on experience across billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general accounting functions while working alongside a collaborative and experienced finance team.

What You'll Do

• Assist with accounts receivable collections and account follow-up
• Support customer billing and invoicing activities
• Process and apply customer payments
• Support accounts payable and payment processing activities
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with month-end closing activities and journal entries
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries
• Partner with Finance team members on special projects and process improvements

What We're Looking For

• Associate's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred or equivalent
• 0-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AR, AP, billing, or finance experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
• Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting career
