Location: This is a full-time, on-site position in Asheville, North Carolina. Our team values collaboration and maintains an in-office culture while offering flexibility to work remotely when business needs require.
Note: Candidates must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and possess at least 3 years of estate tax planning experience. A CPA designation or LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred.

Job Description
- Advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners on estate, gift, income tax, and wealth transfer planning strategies.
- Develop and implement sophisticated estate plans tailored to client objectives.
- Counsel clients on business succession planning and related tax considerations.
- Analyze complex tax issues and provide strategic planning recommendations.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and professional advisors.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to deliver outstanding client service.
- Participate in community, business development, and professional networking activities.
- Manage multiple matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and responsiveness.
- Assist clients with closely held business planning and ownership transition strategies.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active North Carolina Bar license.
- 3+ years of estate tax planning experience.
- Experience with estate planning, tax planning, and business succession planning.
- Strong knowledge of federal estate, gift, and income tax principles.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and client relationship skills.
- CPA designation or LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
- Portable book of business is a plus but not required.
