Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Location

Salt Lake City, UT. This is a hybrid-friendly opportunity with an initial onsite onboarding period and the potential for a long-term hybrid schedule. Some travel to the Ogden area may be needed.

Must have 2+ years of accounting experience and the ability to work in the Salt Lake City metro area. Relocation is not currently available.

Job Description

• Own and systematize account reconciliation processes by creating repeatable monthly procedures and effective review checkpoints.
• Partner with the Director of Accounting to strengthen accounting processes, procedures, controls, and best practices.
• Review accounting work product, identify discrepancies, and ensure errors are corrected promptly.
• Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, account analyses, and supporting schedules.
• Research and apply GAAP principles while providing technical accounting support and documentation.
• Help optimize NetSuite and identify opportunities for automation, technology, and AI within accounting operations.
• Assist with audit preparation, compliance activities, and financial reporting support.
• Provide guidance, training, and quality review for accounting team members.
• Identify inefficiencies and develop practical solutions that improve accuracy, consistency, and scalability.
• Bring a proactive, systems-oriented mindset to an evolving accounting environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of directly relevant accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Experience with reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, and month-end close.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical ability, and follow-through.
• Comfortable using technology and interested in applying automation and AI to accounting processes.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing accounting work or improving processes preferred.
• CPA or active CPA candidate preferred.
• Aviation or related industry experience preferred.
