Senior Accountant/Controller Consultant (Sage Intacct)

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Controller Consultant to support contract role. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this consultant's primary focus will be assisting with the reconciliation and reclassification of revenues and expenses across two entities. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, possess strong technical accounting expertise, and have significant hands-on experience with Sage Intacct.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile and analyze revenue and expense accounts across two entities.
• Perform revenue and expense reclassification activities to ensure financial statements are accurate and compliant.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Review historical transactions and identify necessary correcting journal entries.
• Prepare and post journal entries as needed.
• Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations.
• Partner with the Director of Finance to improve financial reporting accuracy and consistency.
• Support audit and compliance-related requests as required.
• Document accounting procedures, adjustments, and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior accountant or controller-level responsibilities.
• Strong Sage Intacct experience is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
