Controller

About the Role:

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, multi-service environment. Lighthouse's business includes service-based revenue, product sales, inventory and warehouse operations, project-based work, and multiple lines of business, creating a diverse and evolving accounting environment.

In this role, you will:

• Lead accurate and timely financial reporting and the monthly close process
• Oversee revenue recognition, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Manage project-based accounting, work-in-progress, and financial analysis
• Support inventory, warehouse, procurement, and product-related financial processes
• Oversee tax compliance, including sales tax related to the Company's products and services
• Manage cash balances and developing cash flow forecasts
• Establish and maintain strong accounting procedures and internal controls
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and KPI development
• Support acquisitions, financial consolidations, and integration activities
• Partner with Operations and other business leaders to identify efficiencies and improve financial performance
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support executive leadership and Board-level decision-making

As a leader within the Accounting and Finance team, the Controller will also help build a high-performing team and foster a culture centered around accuracy, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and service to the business.

• Strategic, collaborative, and hands-on accounting leader who can balance the details of the monthly close with the bigger picture of business performance and growth
• 10+ years of progressing accounting and financial experience, including at least 5 years in Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting, or equivalent leadership role
• Previous experience working in public accounting and within a private equity-owned company
• Experience with revenue recognition, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
• Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-line-of-business environment preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive continuous process improvement
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
