Find your future with us.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to join our Space Launch Systems (SLS) Program in Huntsville, Alabama.Position Responsibilities:Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreementsManages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processesDevelops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goalsAcquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesProvides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related toolsManages, develops and motivates employeesBoeing First-Line Leader Assessment:To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or BuyerMore than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performanceMore than 5 years of experience in constructing/building and providing reports and presentation material as needed for assigned projects or Leadership reviewPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or higherMore than 5 years leading cross-functional and/or project teamsMore than 5 years of experience managing supplier performanceMore than 3 years of experience with proposal support and developmentMore than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and servicesMore than 5 years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)Typical Education/Experience:Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.Conflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
