Job Description:
• Process and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting activities.
• Support payroll-related reporting, including Form 941 filings and 401(k) deductions.
• Prepare and maintain accounting records, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with reconciliations and other routine accounting functions.
• Handle a significant volume of manual paperwork while maintaining accuracy and organization.
• Respond to incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Maintain organized financial and administrative files.
• Enter and update information in accounting and office systems.
• Assist with general administrative tasks and provide support to the office team as needed.
• Use accounting software to maintain accurate transaction and employee-related records.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related administrative accounting role.
• Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and payroll-related deductions or reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with financial information and paperwork.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with a high volume of manual documentation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn and use accounting software and other business systems.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software.
• Experience supporting payroll tax filings, including Form 941.
• Familiarity with 401(k) deductions and payroll-related accounting.
• Bookkeeping or accounting coursework or degree is a plus.
Work Schedule & Environment
• Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Casual office environment
• Works closely with a small administrative/accounting team and operational staff
• Primarily office-based role
