Job Description

Job Summary

The Financial Analyst, Management Reporting supports Brightspeed's enterprise financial accounting activities through internal and external financial reporting, month-end close, and performance analysis. This role partners with cross-functional business leaders to deliver actionable financial insights, maintain financial models, and support data-driven decision-making that enables the company's strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute recurring financial reports, dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting packages.
• Analyze financial and operational results to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Partner with Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, IT, and other business functions to understand forecast assumptions, drivers and variances, and improve financial accuracy.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close reporting through variance analysis and management commentary.
• Maintain and leverage financial accounting and reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analyses, executive presentations, and strategic initiatives as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, month-end close processes, and analytical capabilities through process enhancements and automation.
• Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to support informed business decisions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or a related analytical finance role.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
• Experience with accounting and reporting systems such as SAP, Hyperion/Essbase, or similar ERP platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and translate it into actionable business insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.
• Experience in the telecommunications, technology, or infrastructure industry.
• Experience supporting enterprise planning, executive reporting, or management reporting functions.
• Knowledge of business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

• Primarily office-based work performed in a hybrid or corporate office environment.
• Regular use of computers and standard office equipment.
• Minimal travel may be required (typically less than 10%).
