The Details:

In-Office Requirements: This role requires up to 10% presence at our Downtown Seattle headquarters.  Standard business hours Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. 

Remote Work Eligibility: For employees residing outside of the Seattle metropolitan area, remote work may be considered in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, ID, FL, OR, TN, VA, or WA.  Final approval is determined through a management review process.

About the Position:

The Controller is a key finance leader and trusted business partner responsible for ensuring the integrity of the SEIU 775 Benefits Group's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance activities. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller oversees the organization's accounting function through a combination of internal leadership and strategic management of outsourced accounting service providers.

This position partners closely with the Director of Investment Strategy & Financial Operations to provide comprehensive financial stewardship to the Benefits Group and related trusts. The Controller directly supervises accounting staff and works collaboratively within Finance, across departments, with external partners, and with senior leadership to advance the mission and goals of the organization.
