Job Description
Our client is seeking a hands-on Bookkeeper to join their team in Dartmouth. The successful candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO), along with a solid understanding of full-cycle bookkeeping processes.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations
- Process invoices, receipts, and expense documentation using Dext
- Maintain accurate records and ensure transactions are properly coded in QuickBooks Online
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with month-end reporting and financial statement preparation
- Support general administrative and accounting tasks as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- 1 - 3 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a full-cycle capacity
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- Experience using Dext (required)
- Previous experience working in a public firm environment is a definite asset, but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
