About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our Finance team. In this role, you will handle rent-roll processing, deposit recording, cash management, grant fund reconciliations, vendor payments, and audit support. Your work directly enables CASL to sustain the housing programs that change lives every day.
What You’ll Do
Rent Roll Processing & Reconciliation
- Process monthly rent rolls for all CASL housing programs
- Reconcile rent roll activity against the general ledger monthly
- Coordinate with property management staff on occupancy changes, move-ins, and move-outs
- Track and post rent adjustments, abatements, and credits
- Generate monthly rent roll reports for leadership review
Recording Deposits & Cash Management
- Record all incoming deposits including tenant rent, subsidy payments, and grant disbursements
- Apply payments to the correct accounts, funding sources, and cost centers
- Maintain a daily deposit log and prepare bank deposit documentation
- Monitor cash balances across organizational bank accounts
- Prepare weekly cash position reports and process ACH/wire transactions
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliations
Grant Fund Reconciliations & Grant Support
- Reconcile grant fund receipts against drawdown requests and funder payment records monthly
- Track grant receivable balances across HUD, Florida Housing Finance Corporation, Medicaid, and local government contracts
- Post grant-related revenue entries to the general ledger per grant agreements
- Support grant billing submissions and compile supporting documentation for expenditures
- Assist with grant budget tracking and funder reporting
Vendor Payments & Audit Support
- Process and remit vendor payments accurately and on time with proper account coding
- Maintain complete supporting documentation for all disbursements
- Assist with annual audit schedule preparation and workpaper organization
- Maintain audit-ready accounts receivable records throughout the year
- Support internal controls compliance over cash receipts and grant fund management
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
