This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is located at 413 N. Salisbury Street, Raleigh - Wake County, with Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.   

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $30.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).  

Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.  The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants.

Job duties include but may not be limited to:

• Position will cover P-Card Reconciliation, Fixed Asset, OSA Audit Engagement, NCFS Reporting, Agencies Cash Management and Reconciliation and other projects as assigned.

This position is needed to cover the vacancies of the Accountant I and Accountant Tech II Financial Services positions.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a degree in business administration, finance or public administration or a related discipline from an appropriately accredited institution with 18 semester hours of accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
