Project Controller (PCO)

Position Description:

CGI Montreal is looking for a Project Controller (PCO) with a strong interest in project performance monitoring, data analysis, and the continuous improvement of project management tools. As part of a dynamic project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective governance and oversight of a large-scale Agile program. Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers in developing project plans and schedules, identifying conflicts, and establishing dependencies with other projects
• Monitor and control projects in terms of schedules, activities/milestones, effort, and budgets, and be able to explain variances
• Produce monthly status reports, health assessments, and budget forecasts
• Perform month-end and fiscal year-end activities
• Track project plans and resource assignments
• Monitor and analyze project efforts, communicate any risk of deviation, and participate in defining mitigation measures
• Participate, when required, in project quality assurance processes and respond to audits
• Contribute to various administrative tasks such as invoicing, project creation, and resource assignment requests
• Collaborate closely with project controllers across the business unit
• Produce Agile performance metrics and indicators
• Support project delivery and coordinate project-related activities

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, or another related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar Project Controller (PCO) role on IT projects
• Strong proficiency with Confluence, Jira, Jira Roadmaps, Excel, Power Query, and Power BI
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a structured approach
• Leadership, autonomy, and excellent teamwork skills
• Excellent communication skills in French (spoken, written)

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 50 000$ et 100 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
