Accountant

● Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records financial reports to assess compliance with procedural standards. ● Maintain or examine the records of government agencies. ● Advise the appointing authority and/or controller of the status of all accounts. ● Develop policies and procedures for general accounting and bookkeeping. ● Oversee usage of the computerized accounting system. ● Establish work methods and control measures for accounting/bookkeeping functions. ● Certify the accuracy of the agency's financial records and accounts. ● Review reports for grant reconciliation for grant funded accounts. ● Direct program staff in accounting matters relating to specific program funding. ● Assist controller in budget preparation.
