Staff Accountant

HornBill has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Newport, Rhode Island (RI). Responsibilities:
- Perform account analysis and reconciliation
- Review general ledger accounts and prepare and adjust journal entries
- Maintain general ledger charts of accounts
- Assist with internal control evaluations
- Post accruals
- Address requests of audit team
- Maintain supporting documentation for assigned areas
- Train and supervise staff
- Provide support on special projects and management requests
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2-5+ years of experience preferably with a mix of public and industry
- Proficient Excel skills
- MRI/AVID/FAS experience preferred
- Superior communication skills
- Real estate and property accounting experience preferred
- Experience in lease administration preferred
