HornBill's client, a leading global law firm located in New York, New York (NY) is currently seeking a Staff Accountant. Summary: This is an opportunity to work in a beautiful updated office in midtown, with a great cafeteria and coffee shop. They offer a very collegial and fun office environment with the stability of a global company. The role will be responsible for the following:
- Preparation of the monthly partner draws/distributions schedules and preparing journal entries
- Responsible for daily reconciliation of approximately 50 partner accounts
- Responsible for monthly recurring journal entries for partner accounting and monthly journal entries for the tax team
- Responsible for preparing quarterly reconciliations
- Adhoc projects and special requests as required
- B.A. degree in Accounting or Finance mandatory
- 2+ years of experience of accounting experience in a professional services environment, preferably law firm experience
- Capable of working independently as well as interacting with colleagues in multiple departments
