Senior Staff Accountant - Sales & Use Tax

HornBill's client, a leading global law firm located in Brooklyn, NY is currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant - Sales & Use Tax. This is an opportunity to work in a very collegial and fun office environment with the stability of a global company. The role will be responsible for the following:

• Process invoices for payment, including the review for adequate documentation, proper approvals, clerical accuracy and proper general ledger account coding
• Prepare and file monthly Sales & Use (S&U) Tax reporting
• Interface with business owners to fully understand the nature of the goods and services purchased
• Review payments to foreign payees for FATCA/1042 compliance and ensure that proper documentation is received and maintained and the preparation of the annual 1042 reporting
• Provide guidance to accounts payable staff
• Any other additional responsibilities assigned by management

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Camtasia skills
• Sales & Use Tax regulations and reporting experience
• Must be able to manage time and multiple assignments
• Good oral and written communication skills
