Staff Accountant

HornBill has a client that is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to their team in Quincy, Massachusetts (MA). Summary: This position will be involved with all aspects of the business, including, invoicing, and assisting in preparing monthly financials for management. An ideal candidate would have experience in all areas of accounting, is well organized, and can work with teams to get the information that is needed. This candidate should be able to prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve. Job Function:

• Prepare entries relating to revenue, account receivables, account payables, accruals, and other expenses
• Work with controller and other staff accountants to handle and process payroll
• Effectively manage collections on receivables and payments on payables
• Work with the Controller on an efficient month-end close
• Review and analyze the balance sheet and income statement monthly
• Work with the team to improve processes and efficiencies
• Maintain and organize files to ensure all documents have been properly recorded

• BS degree preferred
• 3+ years in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Understanding everyday accounting functions relating to the general ledger and financial statements
