Senior Financial Accountant Would you like to take ownership of statutory reporting and tax compliance for PPG's Finnish operations while working in a highly international finance environment? We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Vantaa. In this role, you will serve as the key finance expert for Finland, partnering with stakeholders across the Nordics and EMEA while ensuring the highest standards of financial governance and compliance. Key Responsibilities As the key finance expert for Finland, you will take ownership of statutory reporting, tax compliance and financial governance for PPG's Finnish entities. Working closely with colleagues across Finland, the Nordics and EMEA, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance, supporting business and driving continuous improvement. Your key responsibilities include: Taking ownership of statutory reporting and financial statement preparation for Finnish entities. Ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance, including CIT, VAT and withholding taxes. Acting as the primary contact for external auditors, tax authorities and local compliance matters. Collaborating with the Shared Service Center and finance teams across the Nordics and EMEA. Driving continuous improvements in accounting, reporting and compliance processes. What Success Looks Like In this role, success is measured by: Reliable and high-quality statutory and tax reporting. Strong partnerships with both local and international stakeholders. Successful execution of audits and compliance requirements. Continuous improvement of processes and controls. Acting as a trusted finance expert for Finnish operations. Requirements We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with strong knowledge of Finnish accounting and tax regulations. You are comfortable working independently, take ownership of your responsibilities and have excellent attention to detail. To succeed in this role, you have: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related field. Experience in accounting, finance or tax-related roles. Knowledge of Finnish GAAP, tax compliance and regulatory requirements. Experience working with statutory reporting and external audits is a plus. Advanced Excel skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is a plus. Familiarity with US GAAP or corporate reporting requirements is beneficial but not required. Fluent Finnish and English skills.
