Position Summary
The Jr. Staff Accountant will work in a multi-entity environment and assist with financial statement preparation, weekly management reporting, inventory and cost of goods sold analysis, month-end close, bank reconciling items, and other functions.
Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for monthly general ledger close. Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements. Ensure that all deliverables comply with regulatory guidance and professional standards. Provide support to the accounting team during external audits. Assist with accounting related and general ledger projects, as week as special projects assigned by management.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers, journals and logs with appropriate documentation
- Work within a multi-entity environment
- Meet department deadlines for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Adhere to department SOPs for best practices for reporting, processes, segregation of duties and documentation
- Support accounts receivable and payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of entry
- Reconcile cash transactions for all entities and work with AP and AR teams to resolve discrepancies daily
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Run depreciation for all entities at month end by the deadline determined by leadership
- Maintain detailed reconciliations of fixed asset and depreciation accounts per department standards monthly
- Maintain detailed reconciliations of prepaid accounts per department standards and post amortization monthly by the deadline determined by leadership
- Provide detailed analyses and explanations of transactions when requested in a timely manner
- Support Senior Accountants in providing external audit requests
- Participate in team meetings
- Attain proficiency in One World’s ERP system-Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related systems integrated as sources for general ledger activity
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

Required Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree with Accounting or Finance classes required
- 2+ years’ experience in accounting or related field
- Proficient in Word and Excel

- Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
- Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Travel
This position does not routinely require travel. Occasional travel to Company operating locations, banks, auditors, training or other business locations may be required based on business needs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position based primarily at the Company’s Solana Beach office.
The standard work schedule is generally Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
The position may occasionally require extended hours, including during month-end close, year-end close, audits, financial reporting deadlines, system implementations, or other time-sensitive business activities.

Work Environment
This position primarily operates in a professional office environment.
