Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Finance & Accounting Analyst to oversee financial operations for Seniorverse (a tech startup in the adult daycare space) and BGB Motorsports (a high-performance automotive business). This role is split evenly between the two companies, managing financial reporting, budgeting, modeling, and operational finance for Seniorverse while restructuring financial processes, invoicing, and expense management at BGB Motorsports.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented financial leader who can establish strong financial controls, improve reporting, and develop financial models to support business growth. This is a hybrid role with up to two days per week in-office in Ormond Beach, FL (near Daytona Beach, FL).
Key Responsibilities
- Seniorverse (50% of Time)
- Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring financial transactions are accurately recorded and classified
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze revenue scenarios, pricing strategies, customer growth, and cost structures
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure strong financial controls
- Support fundraising efforts by providing financial insights, investor reports, and pro forma projections
- Work closely with the leadership team to provide financial strategy recommendations based on data-driven insights
- BGB Motorsports (50% of Time)
- Restructure and modernize BGB’s financial processes, ensuring financial data is well-organized and compliant
- Overhaul the chart of accounts and ensure that financial records accurately reflect business activities
- Review and correct past financial data, reconciling inconsistencies and ensuring clean records
- Implement expense reimbursement policies, ensuring compliance and transparency
- Streamline invoicing and accounts receivable processes to improve cash flow management
- Establish best practices for financial reporting, ensuring that key financial data is available for decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; equivalent industry experience will be considered
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial operations
- Strong financial modeling skills, with experience analyzing multiple business scenarios
- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in a business setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop financial strategies for a growing company
- Hands-on experience with accounting software required; experience working with Xero highly preferred
- Strong communication and ability to work cross-functionally with teams in finance, operations, and leadership
- Experience working in a startup or small business environment highly preferred
- Prior work with capital fundraising, investor relations, or financial modeling for early-stage companies preferred
Work Environment & Location
This is a hybrid role, requiring up to two days per week at BGB Motorsports’ office in Ormond Beach, FL (near Daytona Beach, FL). Remote work flexibility for the remaining three days of the week. Travel to alternative locations within the US may be required on occasion.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary of $75,000 - $95,000, based on experience
