Job Description:

This job is a (40-hour) full time, benefited, FLSA Exempt position in the Administrative Services Division that reports to the Accounting Manager.

Schedule - 40-hours per week, on campus, at the Lawrenceville campus; Monday through Friday; May occasionally work at the Alpharetta-North Fulton Campus.

Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 32697 Category 1)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field *and* Three (3) years of accounting work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the minimum qualifications, experience in state governmental accounting.  Experience using GA@WORK and BANNER database software.  Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Job Description Summary:

Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of fiscal and administrative support functions such as records management, cost analysis, conducts physical inventory of college assets, and provides support to the Director or Accounting.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Record asset additions, deletions, and adjustments with accuracy and timeliness. (20)
• Maintain the record management system by appropriately tracking assets throughout the college. (15)
• Assist with completion of annual physical inventory. (20)
• Facilitates general accounting functions, including. (15)
• Complete asset reconciliations timely and accurately. (10)
• Maintain Perkins Asset Listing (17)
• Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior (Performed by all incumbents) (100% - concurrent)
• Performs other duties as assigned in the fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of Gwinnett Technical College. (3)
