About the Role

We are looking for an experienced US Payroll Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis, working approximately 20 or more hours per week. This role will be responsible for managing our US payroll process and partnering closely with our People+ and Finance teams to ensure payroll is accurate, compliant, and processed on time.

What You’ll Do

• Manage the end-to-end US payroll process, including regular and off-cycle payrolls.

• Process payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.

• Review payroll inputs, validate calculations, and approve payroll for processing.

• Coordinate with our payroll provider on federal, state, and local payroll tax filings, registrations, notices, and corrections.

• Administer payroll-related benefits and deductions in partnership with the People+ team and benefits providers.

• Reconcile payroll reports to the general ledger and support month-end close activities.

• Support payroll audits and year-end reporting, including Forms W-2.

• Respond to employee payroll questions promptly, accurately, and confidentially.

• Maintain payroll procedures and documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve payroll accuracy, controls, processes, and efficiency.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience managing US payroll across multiple states.

• Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, and year-end reporting.

• Hands-on experience with a major US payroll platform; ADP experience is preferred.

• Strong reconciliation skills and experience partnering with Finance and People/HR teams.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet firm payroll deadlines.

• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information.

• Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system is a plus.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this part-time position is $55.00–$65.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
