Location: St. Louis, MO (In Office)

Compensation: $80,000-90,000 depending on experience

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Accountant who wants more than a traditional accounting role. You'll help manage critical accounting functions while supporting process improvements across a growing organization. This is an opportunity to work directly with business leaders, influence decisions, and help build scalable processes as Crossroads Courier continues to grow.

What You'll Do

• Month-end and year-end close

• Financial statement preparation

• Financial reporting and analysis

• Own the Accounts Payable process

• Support Accounts Receivable activities

• Treasury activities, including Positive Pay

• Implement process improvement initiatives

• Support and collaborate with other team members

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, technology, and AI

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of accounting experience

• Full-cycle accounting experience

• Financial reporting experience

• Accounts Payable experience

• Strong Excel skills

• Experience using an ERP or accounting system

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Proven ability to identify and improve inefficient processes

Preferred

• Treasury or banking experience

• Sage Intacct experience

• Experience leveraging AI, automation, or technology to improve efficiency

• Experience in logistics, transportation, healthcare, service, or other multi-location operating environments

Within your first year, you'll:

• Take a primary role in the month-end close process

• Learn and improve financial reporting

• Own the whole Accounts Payable process
