About the Role

The Financial Reporting team supports the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of Stitch Fix’s financial reporting and accounting processes. As a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting, you will play a key hands-on role across external reporting, technical accounting, equity accounting, and certain general accounting activities.

You’ll partner closely with Accounting, Legal, Finance, Investor Relations, and external auditors to support accurate and timely reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and approaches their work with a focus on accuracy, continuous improvement, and adding value to the business.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and support external filings and internal reporting, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K and earnings releases, drafting financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements and performing detailed tie-outs across reporting materials.
• Manage and support equity accounting under ASC 718, including monthly stock-based compensation journal entries, reconciliations, activity analysis, and related reporting.
• Research and analyze routine and emerging U.S. GAAP and SEC guidance, contribute to technical accounting memorandums, and support the implementation of new or evolving accounting requirements.
• Support external audits and SOX compliance by preparing documentation and audit schedules, responding to inquiries, maintaining internal control documentation, and partnering across teams to ensure reporting accuracy and financial integrity.
• Improve and automate financial reporting and accounting workflows by identifying process efficiencies and using tools such as Excel, Workiva, Oracle, Google Workspace, and emerging AI capabilities to enhance technical research, data analysis, reporting, and day-to-day productivity.

About You

This is what you’ll need to succeed in this role from day 1.

• You have 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with experience in financial reporting and/or technical accounting, including required public accounting experience; Big Four experience is preferred.
• You have a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, with experience researching accounting guidance and contributing to technical accounting memorandums.
• You have general knowledge of stock-based compensation accounting under ASC 718 and experience supporting journal entries, reconciliations, or related accounting activities.
• You are highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work within tight financial reporting deadlines.
• You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can translate complex accounting topics into clear, actionable information for different audiences.
• You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and complex analysis and are comfortable learning and applying new technologies, including AI and automation tools, to improve efficiency and outcomes.
• This position may require the ability to sit for extended periods of time, use a computer or other office equipment, and communicate effectively (verbal and written).

Nice to Have

• CPA license.
• Big Four public accounting experience.
• Experience with Workiva, Oracle, and/or Google Workspace.
• Experience supporting SEC filings, SOX compliance, external audits, or public-company financial reporting.
• Exposure to AI-enabled accounting, financial reporting, research, or workflow automation tools

Compensation and Benefits
This role will receive a competitive salary and benefits. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, location, and performance. Salary Range

$78,000 - $130,000 USD
