Senior Accountant

FM Talent Source is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support the financial health of a growing organization serving government, commercial, and nonprofit clients. Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, payroll accounting, and cash management. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and prepare financial statements and supporting schedules. Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, executive reporting, and strategic financial decision-making. Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Unanet ERP. Identify and implement automation opportunities and process improvements across accounting and payroll systems. Coordinate payroll administration through ADP and ensure compliance and accuracy. Support audits, tax reporting, project accounting, indirect rate management, labor reporting, and FAR compliance. Provide financial and pricing support for proposals, contracts, and business development activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience supporting accounting and finance operations within a government contracting environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation. Strong Unanet ERP experience required or highly preferred. Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable payroll platform. Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills. Preferred Qualifications CPA preferred. Experience with government contracting finance, project accounting, and contract compliance. Experience supporting GSA Schedule contracts, including GSA reporting, monitoring, and compliance requirements.
