Job Overview

• client is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance & Procurement Functional Consultant to provide application support, configuration, and implementation support for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in SAP Finance (FI) and Sourcing & Procurement (MM/P2P), with hands-on experience supporting S/4HANA Cloud environments.
• The consultant will serve as a key point of contact for the Finance organization following the initial rollout and will work closely with Finance stakeholders, Procurement teams, business users, and technical teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of hands-on SAP ERP functional experience.
• At least 2 years of direct SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud or Private Cloud experience.
• Strong functional and configuration experience with SAP FI.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • GL
  • AP/AR
  • Asset Accounting
  • Controlling

• Strong functional knowledge of SAP MM / Sourcing & Procurement / P2P.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud SaaS.
• Experience with in-app configuration and extensibility tools.
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex SAP issues and managing incidents through resolution.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Finance business stakeholders and understand Finance terminology and business concerns.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Maintenance – 70%

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 functional and application support for Finance and Procurement processes.
• Support SAP Finance processes including:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Asset Accounting (AA)
  • Controlling (CO)

• Support Procurement processes including:
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Purchasing
  • Inventory Management
  • Contract Management

• Troubleshoot complex application issues and manage incidents through end-to-end resolution.
• Monitor system performance, background jobs, alerts, and application processes.
• Schedule and manage background jobs using the Schedule Application Jobs functionality.
• Ensure compliance with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud architecture, security policies, and operational standards.

Finance Configuration

• Support Finance teams with configuration, issue resolution, and workflow management.
• Perform in-app configuration and fine-tuning within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Analyze approved change requests and implement appropriate configuration changes.
• Identify process gaps and recommend solutions aligned with SAP Best Practices.

User & Access Management

• Create, maintain, and deactivate SAP user and worker accounts.
• Assign and maintain business roles, restrictions, and application access.
• Ensure appropriate access to data and system functionality while following security standards.

Release & Testing Support

• Support SAP's semi-annual release adoption process.
• Perform regression testing and support new feature implementation.
• Help maintain business continuity during SAP releases and system updates.
• Document changes, test results, configurations, and operational procedures.

Integration & Technical Coordination

• Support integrations between SAP S/4HANA and external procurement or invoice-management applications.
• Coordinate API and iFlow integrations using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Work with technical teams to troubleshoot integration issues and ensure reliable data exchange.
• Support system interoperability and integration testing.

Procurement & Implementation Support – 30%

• Serve as the primary functional lead for newly deployed Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Stabilize, optimize, and enhance procurement processes after implementation.
• Work with business stakeholders and implementation partners to define and configure procurement capabilities.
• Support advanced purchasing and contract-management processes.
• Ensure procurement processes remain aligned with standard SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud capabilities.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain system governance, security, and operational best practices.
• Develop and maintain:
  • Configuration guides
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Training materials
  • Process documentation

• Facilitate knowledge transfer and end-user training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve business processes and system functionality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite, APIs, and iFlows.
• Experience with SAP analytics and integrated applications.
• PMO or Project Management experience.
• Knowledge of additional SAP modules such as Sales and Inventory Management.
• SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud certification in Finance or Procurement.
