We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to manage all aspects of the company's accounting and financial recordkeeping functions. This position is located on the Southside of Jacksonville in a small family-owned business.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank accounts, and preparing financial reports. This position requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts.

Prepare and process payroll accurately and on time.

Maintain general ledger and journal entries.

Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Prepare financial reports for management review.

Assist with budgeting and cash flow management.

Manage sales tax filings and other required tax reporting.

Coordinate with external accountants during audits and tax preparation.

Monitor company expenses and ensure proper documentation.

Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.

Experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper preferred.

Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.

Strong knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
