Job Description: The Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing a backup to support the Financial Services district. This position will provide backup support to Financial Services by facilitating and performing administrative and related services; including EFT authorizations, stop payments, warrant processing/tracking, deposits, agency inventory, invoice processing and other duties as assigned.
100% Onsite. Interviews will be remote. Tentative start date will be dependent upon interviews conducted, onboarding completed, and the state agency issuing a PO. HireRight must be used for Background Checks and Drug Screenings Local Only Candidates - Resumes must specify the current location of the candidate, all those who do not state current location will not be considered. - AS A REMINDER - Candidates must be local at time of submission, and available for in person interviews within 1 week of the posting close date. Candidates must also be able to start within 2 weeks of an offer being made.
Skills Required:

Attention to detail
Skill in oral and written communication
Ability to analyze and disseminate information required to provide quality work.
Skill in prioritization and management of assignments
Knowledge of excel, word, notepad and google email

Skills Preferred:

Skill in work techniques required in maintaining accounting records through automated accounting/banking systems
Skill in analysis and interpretations of financial data
Skill and knowledge in lean management philosophy
Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Experience Required:

Experience in data entry and clerical

Education Preferences: Some college Compensation: $20.00 per hour
