Full Job Description
La Cava Jacobson, P.A. is currently seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting Department in our Tampa office location.
Primary Responsibilities
- Vendor payables review and input.
- Input new matters into accounting system for time entry.
- Deposit and post payments received/Prepare cash report.
- Reconcile payment reductions on invoices.
- Reviews time/expense entry data to ensure accurate data input.
- Process prebills and invoices.
- Upload invoices via EDI websites.
- Track outstanding billing issues, follows through and resolves in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow up on past due invoices in a timely manner.
- Team Player - help where needed in Accounting, Billing, and Payables
- Knowledge of the Orion Financial Management System – preferred but not required.
- Law Firm Accounting/Billing experience preferred.
- Ability to handle high volume data entry with accuracy and acute attention to detail.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit; support everyone’s efforts to succeed.
- Ability to multi-task in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and be an effective team member and display initiative.
- Be consistently at work and on time and able to commit to the hours necessary to complete assignments; work independently.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education – Associate's Degree a plus but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Excel and Word. Possess basic PC skills, ability to use copier, scanner, printer.
- Minimum of three years’ experience.
