Job Description

Primary Function of Position

At Intuitive, Accounting Analyst Interns work on meaningful projects supporting financial reporting, compliance, accounting operations, controls and process improvement initiatives. Interns gain exposure to corporate accounting, financial reporting, SEC reporting, internal controls, technical accounting and accounting systems while leading a capstone project that creates lasting business value.

Essential Job Duties

• Support accounting and financial reporting activities including close, reconciliations and analysis.

• Assist with internal controls, compliance and accounting governance activities.

• Support process improvement and automation initiatives.

• Analyze accounting data and reporting outputs to identify trends and opportunities.

• Collaborate, as needed, with Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit and IT teams.

• Lead a capstone project and present recommendations to leadership.

• Ability to communicate effectively (written, oral)

• Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable with ambiguous challenges

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

• 3.0+ GPA (please list on resume)

• Authorization to work in the US is a prerequisite for employment

University Hiring Program Eligibility Requirements:

• University Enrollment: Must be currently enrolled in and returning to an accredited degree-seeking academic program in the Fall.

• Internship Work Period: Must be available to work full-time (approximately 40 hours per week) during a 10-12 week period starting May or June. Specific start dates are shared during the recruiting process.

Required Education and Training

• Current enrollment and completion of at least two years of an undergraduate program in accounting prior to internship.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Minor in Finance, Business, Math, Economics, or Information Systems

• Previous experience with ERP software (ex. SAP, Workday, etc.)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay (paid at an hourly rate), benefits, and a housing allowance. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including relevant skills and experience for this internship, degree-seeking academic program (PhD, Master’s, Bachelor’s, etc), year in school, and location. The hourly rate is prorated against the intern program salaries listed and total program compensation will be based on internship duration.
