Accounting Manager

HornBill is working with a professional services firm in their search for an Accounting Manager in Woburn, Massachusets (MA). Summary: In this highly visible and dynamic position, you will be responsible for overseeing your team for the day to day management of the company's accounting operations, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls. Responsibilities:

• Support the team in their month-end and quarter-end accounting close and financial reporting process
• Work closely with external auditors during interim and year-end audits
• Supervise accounting personnel
• Assist with the design and implementation of the Accounting group's process improvement initiatives
• Train, mentor, and evaluate subordinate staff as appropriate

• BS or higher degree in Finance or Accounting
• 2 - 3 years in a management or supervisory role overseeing accounting personnel
• Proven track record for driving process efficiencies
• Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to think outside the box
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization
