Accounting Manager

HornBill has a client in the Columbia, Maryland (MD) area that is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their growing team! Responsibilities include:

• Coordination of monthly, quarterly, year-end close
• Consolidated Financials
• Quarterly review and annual audit by external auditors
• Annual statutory account review and audit for foreign entities in Americas region
• Internal control procedures and implementation in GL areas
• GL procedures
• Review Balance sheet account and intercompany reconciliations; assist as needed
• Lead on GL subledger/financial software (chart of accounts, allocations, testing, etc.)
• Provide backup assistance to GL staff when necessary

• BS degree in Accounting
• CPA preferred
• Five or more years accounting experience (mix of public/private preferred)
• Oracle ERP system experience preferred
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• International/foreign accounting experience a plus
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organization skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Ability to work independently and as a team
