Accounting Manager - CPG

HornBill's client, a leading CPG company located in New York, New York (NY) is currently seeking an Accounting Manager. This company has a formal mobility program. You would work closely with the CFO of the company. This company in entrepreneurial and growing very quickly. This is a company that trains, develops and advances their employees. The role will be responsible for the following:

• Organize the work of 2 Accountants
• In accordance with the Controller's instructions, prepare and plan monthly closing work
• Supervise and monitor the closing process
• Produce accurate timely and relevant financial statements and submit them to the ultimate review of the Controller
• Perform account analysis on all significant accounts including: Fixed assets, accruals, provisions, Receivables and charge-backs
• Review, control and approve monthly bank reconciliations
• Produce or supervise the production of clear and comprehensive reconciliation schedules
• Supervise the monthly financial statements
• Prepare reporting packages
• Coordinate the production of all federal taxes supporting documents and schedules
• Help team prepare local Use Tax and Sales Tax
• Ensure adequate Accounting controls and procedures are in place and followed to protect company assets
• Define and implement adequate and efficient Accounting processes, within the internal control framework adhered by the company

• CPA a plus
• Accounting degree
• Master's degree a plus
• Public accounting experience with CPG or retail clients or Private Accounting experience with same
• Fully proficient with Excel
