Accounting Clerk / Administrative Assistant
Our customer is a growing landscape management company who is seeking a dependable and organized Accounting Clerk / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple responsibilities, and takes pride in providing excellent administrative and accounting support.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
- Process Accounts Payable, including matching invoices and preparing payments.
- Prepare invoices and manage Accounts Receivable collections.
- Create, track, and maintain purchase orders.
- Enter and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Assist with payroll support and other administrative duties as needed.
- Maintain organized filing systems (electronic and paper).
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal staff regarding invoices, payments, and orders.
- Provide general office support to management and field operations.
- Handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience.
- Experience in the construction, landscape, or related industry is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software (Sage, Foundation, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and purchase order processing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support the team wherever needed.
