Accounting Clerk

Location: Jeff Wyler Corporate Headquarters – Milford, Ohio

Position Summary

Jeff Wyler Automotive Family is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, and motivated Accounting Support Specialist to join our Corporate Accounting team in Milford, Ohio. This position plays a vital role in supporting accounting operations across multiple dealership locations by ensuring financial transactions are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with daily cash balancing, deposits, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Review financial records for accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Assist dealership personnel with accounting questions and issue resolution.
• Process vendor payments and maintain vendor records.
• Prepare account reconciliations and audit schedules.
• Maintain organized electronic and paper financial records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership to improve efficiency and maintain best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience preferred.
• Automotive accounting experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar) is a plus.
