Accountant

Pacific Staffing is partnering with our Sacramento based client to identify an experienced Accountant who will support core financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting across the organization. This role is ideal for a detail-driven accounting professional who excels in general ledger work, reconciliations, financial reporting, and cross-department collaboration. The Accountant will work closely with managers and administrators to review monthly financials, support audits, assist with budgeting, and maintain strong accounting controls.

Responsibilities

• Handle general accounting functions including AR, AP, credit card reconciliation, expense reports, monthly allocations, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly P&L statements with department managers.
• Reconcile bank accounts, deposits, and address bank inquiries.
• Review monthly income statements, balance sheets, and departmental performance reports.
• Support month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit preparation.
• Assist with operating and capital budget research and preparation.
• Provide financial data and support cross-department needs; occasional local travel required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual a plus.
• Solid knowledge of general financial accounting principles.
• NetSuite experience preferred; advanced Excel, Word, and Google Workspace skills.
• Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, aging services, or social services environments preferred.
