About the Role

Pinnacle Partners is recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst for a direct-hire, remote opportunity. This newly created role will help build the FP&A function from the ground up while supporting financial planning, operational performance, and strategic decision-making.

Our client is seeking a driven and technology-minded finance professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with limited existing resources. This position will partner closely with finance leadership, plant operations, supply chain, sales, and executive leadership to provide insights that improve profitability and cash flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help build and develop the FP&A function and related planning processes from the ground up.
• Support financial planning and analysis, operational performance management, and strategic decision-making.
• Partner with finance leadership on day-to-day FP&A activities.
• Work cross-functionally with plant operations, supply chain, sales, and executive leadership to provide financial insights.
• Analyze complex financial data and support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for management, the board of directors, and investors.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, analyze results and variances, identify trends, and recommend actions.
• Develop automated applications and processes to improve efficiency.
• Build and maintain desk procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 4-5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting.
• Manufacturing FP&A experience is required.
• Experience supporting both commercial and operational FP&A.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, GAAP, cost accounting, and manufacturing finance and operations.
• ERP experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate comfortably with ambiguity.

Preferred:

• Consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience.
• Experience within a private equity-backed organization.
• Sage 100 experience.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or a similar business intelligence tool.
• Technology-driven mindset with an interest in building and automating financial processes.
