Job Summary/Purpose

Seeking a results oriented leader with strong analytical skills, comfortable managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously to shape Entergy's transformation initiatives. As a Financial Analyst, Sr Staff in the Premier Performance and Transformation Office (PPTO), your role ensures financial rigor in the transformation process, identifies portfolio-wide opportunities, and develops relationships with leadership across the organization.

The Financial Analyst, Sr Staff reports to the Senior Manager of PPTO Value Realization. Your primary objective is to elevate transformation capabilities across the enterprise. The role requires a good understanding of financial principles and a strong understanding of the different cost categories (O&M, capital, clearings, etc).

The transformation program exposes you to Entergy's full operations from corporate functions to operational business units. You'll develop a strategic perspective that goes far beyond numbers: understanding how the business moves, how leaders prioritize initiatives, and how financial analysis shapes organizational choices. This role develops leadership skills and expands your network across and upward in the company accelerating your trajectory toward more senior roles.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

This role sits at the intersection of Entergy’s aspirations and the initiatives to meet them. You'll be a key owner of the stage gate governance of transformation initiatives, working at all levels of the organization to ensure initiatives turn from ideas into executable plans and ultimately implemented.

Strategic Financial Analysis

• Conduct deep-dive financial analysis on transformation initiatives to validate assumptions, stress-test forecasts, and identify financial viability early in the initiative lifecycle.
• Governance over the entire stage gate process including business case reviews, ensuring each initiative is anchored in sound financial logic before PPTO approval.
• Own the financial rigor and stage gate approval process, working with initiative owners and workstream leaders to validate assumptions and financial models.

Portfolio Intelligence & Opportunity Identification

• Analyze Entergy’s portfolio and individual workstream performance identifying where value is leaking, where assumptions are breaking down, and where hidden opportunities exist across programs.
• Develop workbooks and dashboards using our transformation platform to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for PPTO leadership, Workstream Sponsors, and Initiative Owners.
• Assess gaps in expected value realization and surface opportunities to improve outcomes, turning analytics into enterprise action.

Capability Building & Organizational Influence

• Elevate financial acumen across Entergy by working hands-on with leaders and teams to strengthen how they frame financial cases. Help teams understand cost categories, baseline logic, and impact measurement.
• Develop process and methodology improvements by continuously refining how PPTO evaluates and monitors strategic initiatives. Your insights drive systemic improvement.
• Communicate complex financial analysis to the organization in ways that drive decision-making by translating data into clear narratives that inform action.

Minimum Requirements

Minimum education required of the position

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• MBA preferred

Minimum experience required of the position

• Financial Analyst III: 3 plus years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related fields.
• Financial Analyst, Lead: 5 plus years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related fields.
• Financial Analyst, Sr Lead: 7 plus years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related fields.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position

• Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a peer-support model, proactively identifying needs and driving solutions with the Sr. Manager and Sr. Staff peer.
• Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple time sensitive projects effectively.
• Interpersonal / leadership skills and ability to communicate externally and at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of Entergy’s financial information technology systems (e.g,. Power Plant, PeopleSoft)
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and orientation results.
