Your role at a glance The Senior Global FP&A Specialist – OPEX COS is responsible for analyzing, consolidating, and reporting operational expenditures across the organization’s global data center operations. The role partners with Finance, Data Center Operations, and regional teams to provide accurate, timely, and actionable insights into OPEX performance. The Senior Specialist performs end-to-end OPEX analysis and reporting, identifying trends, monitoring budget performance for a limited set of specific, high attention assets, and preparing reports for management and executives. The role requires a highly experienced FP&A professional capable of delivering insights and analysis with minimal supervision. What we are looking for KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Communication Act as a senior financial business partner by proactively generating insights, leading strategic analyses, and representing the CoS team at senior management level while shaping key operational decisions. Proactively monitor, interpret, and communicate key financial and operational KPIs to influence decisions and strengthen performance management. Actively collaborate with business stakeholders and finance partners by initiating the collection of budgeting inputs, contract details, and cost drivers, ensuring complete and accurate financial planning. Support the business and other stakeholders in understanding, forecasting and budgeting operational expense for a datacenter. Actively collaborate within the global FP&A community by initiating knowledge sharing and contributing to the development of cross-functional best practices. Performs any other relevant task as assigned by the management team. Analysis Deeply understand OPEX data from multiple data centers on a very granular level (supplier contracts, maintenance plans, etc.). Actively design and deliver monthly actual-vs-budget and forecast reporting, generating clear variance insights at a very detailed level and driving action-oriented follow-ups with stakeholders. Proactively identify, quantify, and track risks, opportunities, and performance levers to support operational business improvement. Proactively assess and challenge business initiatives to ensure alignment with required profitability expectations and long-term value creation. Actively identify and shape cost-management opportunities to drive sustainable operational and financial performance. Actively lead budget and expense reviews on a very detailed level for a few, special attention datacenters, highlight variances early, and initiate cost-optimization opportunities. Performs other duties and adhoc analytics as assigned. Process & Tool improvements Actively drive the design and continuous innovation of reporting tools and templates to ensure operational impacts and financial implications are captured transparently and effectively. Actively maintain, enhance, and further innovate tools and templates supporting cost analysis, forecasting, and operational decision-making. Actively drive system improvements by testing, validating, and shaping enhancements across planning platforms such as SAC, SAP, and Power BI. Proactively contribute to system releases by initiating and executing user testing, ensuring functional and high-quality platform improvements. KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Strong expertise in FP&A processes related to OPEX budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and reporting. Familiarity with data center operational costs, including energy, maintenance, and service delivery costs. Proficiency with FP&A and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SAP, SAC). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Able to manage complex, multi-region OPEX data and reporting deadlines independently. Strong business acumen and ability to communicate financial insights effectively to stakeholders. Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of producing accurate and timely reports. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification preferred (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 6–10 years of experience in FP&A, OPEX analysis, or financial reporting within a global, multi-entity organization. Experience in OPEX forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Experience with FP&A and reporting systems (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SAP, SAC). Demonstrated ability to perform complex financial analysis and deliver actionable insights with minimal supervision. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Remain stationary for long periods of time. Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment. Perform work during US business hours and time zones. WORK CONDITIONS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Very limited one-off travel (once or twice annually). Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection. Compensation Pay Range For roles residing in the US, we share pay and benefit levels to support pay transparency requirements. For other countries, we are more than happy to share our competitive pay and benefit levels during the interview process. This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is: $138,600 - $169,500 All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
