FP&A Analyst Role

The FP&A Analyst is responsible for supporting the FP&A Manager in day-to-day tasks through the ability to comfortably interact with key departments, combined with excellent time management skills, multi-tasking abilities and attention to detail. The FP&A Analyst will develop analysis and interpretation of financial data and communicate this by providing clear data and analytics stories. This includes analysis of the Hotels’ topline results, P&L accounts, Key Performance Indicators, HMA compliance calculation, the review and analysis of the monthly hotels & corporate closing and performance analysis reports. This strategic role provides management visibility on the performance to enhance revenues while improving productivity and cost efficiencies. The FP&A Manager will also support the annual budget and the rolling forecasts under the supervision of the FP&A Manager. The objective is to support business executives and departmental leaders in making strategic, data-driven decisions.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, Raffles & Fairmont (R&F), responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Support the preparation and upload into OneStream (OS) R&C (Group Financial System) of the corporate Last Estimates forecasts (LE1, LE2, LE3) for the R&F global scope.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual corporate budget for the R&F scope and ensure timely and accurate data loading into OS R&C.
• Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes by collecting, consolidating, validating, and analyzing financial data from various stakeholders.
• Support the production of the monthly, quarterly, and annual Performance Review reporting package presented to senior leadership.
• Assist with monthly closing, reporting, and performance analysis activities, including:
  • Monitoring financial performance indicators such as revenue, payroll costs, FTEs, and operating expenses.
  • Performing Actual vs. Budget and Actual vs. Forecast analyses, identifying key variances and preparing supporting commentary.
  • Consolidating financial and operational data and conducting data quality checks on actual results, including network statistics, revenue, EBITDA, accounts receivable, and other key metrics.
  • Supporting compliance with Group financial standards, reporting guidelines, and procedures.
  • Preparing and distributing monthly P&L reports and related analyses to functional leaders.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of reporting tools, dashboards, and processes to improve efficiency, automation, and data reliability.
• Prepare management reports, including topline reporting, P&L analyses, waterfall analyses, KPI dashboards, and business performance presentations for the FP&A Manager, Finance leadership, and Executive Committee members.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial and operational data throughout budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and closing cycles.
• Produce insightful financial and operational analyses, including qualitative commentary, to support decision-making and business performance improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations Finance, Development, and other corporate functions, to support reporting requirements and business initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience with OneStream, Tableau, and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills; VBA knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of BI and data visualization tools (OneStream Analytics, Tableau, or similar) is an asset.
• Highly responsible with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate sensitive information clearly and support effective collaboration.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative environment and engaging with senior leadership; self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Fluent in English.
