We are looking for a Plant Controller to join our Finance and Manufacturing teams. The Plant Controller is a key business partner to manufacturing leadership, providing financial guidance, operational insight, and data-driven recommendations that support profitable growth and operational excellence. This role bridges finance and operations, helping leaders understand business performance, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that advance organizational goals.
You will get to:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning for manufacturing operations across plant locations.
- Coordinate and maintain BOMs, routings, labor rates, and overhead allocations in the ERP system, incorporating operational input and ensuring accuracy of cost-related data. Analyze plant financial and operational performance, including product costing, labor efficiency, yield, scrap, overhead absorption, and manufacturing variances, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational effectiveness. Prepare and present plant-level P&L statements, variance analysis, and KPI dashboards.
- Maintain standard costing methodologies and inventory valuation processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and decision support.
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to evaluate capital investments, support pricing decisions, and develop financial analyses that inform strategic business decisions.
- Serve as a finance business partner to plant and department leaders, providing financial guidance, operational insight, and performance analysis to support informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, R&D, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams to identify and implement productivity, cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee plant-related financial reporting, month-end close activities, inventory accounting, and associated reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain effective internal controls over inventory, costing, and manufacturing accounting processes, including physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and audit requirements, supporting both internal and external audits as needed.
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership in the Finance & Accounting teams.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Generally, a minimum of six (6) years of progressive accounting or finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Generally, a minimum of four (4) years of experience leading and managing teams.
- Food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or other manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, inventory valuation, manufacturing variances, and overhead allocation.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and operational performance analysis.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and the ability to leverage financial and operational data to support business decisions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls related to manufacturing operations and inventory management.
- Ability to analyze financial and operational performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority, challenge assumptions, and drive data driven process improvements Food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or other manufacturing industry experience preferred.
