Plant Controller - Internal Supply

Location: Tacoma, WA or Millersburg, PA

Travel: 15-20%
Tacoma Compensation: $125,000 - $155,000

Millersburg Compensation: $112,000 -141,000

Bonus: 20% Target

Compensation for this position will be based on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, and work location, with ranges varying by geographic market.

MITER Brands is seeking a Plant Controller to support our Internal Supply business. This role can be based in either Fife, WA or Millersburg, PA and will provide financial leadership for three manufacturing facilities, including two plants in Fife and one in Millersburg.

We are looking for a finance professional with a strong manufacturing background who can serve as a strategic business partner to Operations and Human Resources. Reporting through the MITER Finance organization, this position is also a key member of the local leadership teams and plays an active role in driving operational performance, supporting business objectives, and influencing decision-making across multiple facilities.

Plant Controller job responsibilities include:

• Apply business acumen and data-driven decision-making to be an effective business partner
• Works with location management to develop monthly financial and operational forecasts and annual operating plans
• Analyzes location financial and operational performance and partners with functional leaders to address gaps and drive improvement
• Participates in continuous improvement activities and validates savings achieved during these events
• Supports Corporate Finance during month-end close and the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, depreciation, fixed assets, inventory, and operating expenses
• Ensures the location has adequate internal controls to address financial statement risk, fraud risk, and protection of company assets
• Develops and delivers presentations to Executive Team covering monthly operational results and financial forecasts for the Internal Supply locations
• Works with plant management teams to prepare Capital Requests for plant projects including ROI, Payback period and Net Present Value analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting Required, Advanced degrees and certifications preferred.
• Seven plus years of experience in Finance or Accounting with a clear progression of increased responsibilities
• Experience in manufacturing is strongly desired; Lean or other Continuous Improvement (CI) experiences are highly valued
• Must be experienced in month-end closing, financial statement reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting as well as financial and operational analysis
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced skills with Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools are desired
