This is a part-time to full-time position and includes administrative responsibilities as well. It is expected that the position will become full-time within 90 days.The position experience level ranges between entry-level accounting professional responsible for maintaining financial records, assisting in audits, and supporting senior accountants in day-to-day financial operations, to experienced, but still require some training.
Role and Responsibilities:A Junior Accountant typically handles day-to-day accounting tasks, including maintaining ledgers, journals, and financial records, processing invoices and payments, managing petty cash, and assisting in budget preparation and monitoring. They may also prepare financial statements such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support internal and external audits. Responsibilities often include data entry in accounting software like QuickBooks, bank reconciliations, and reporting using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Minimum - an associate degree, with 3 years' experience, and working on a bachelor’s, or have a bachelor's degree in accounting is required. Vocational training may be accepted.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting softwares, Tally, SAP), MS Office (especially Excel and Word). Social media skills needed.
Soft Skills: Attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work under supervision or in a team are essential, with enhanced emphasis on organizational skills and filing required.

Requirements:

3+ years of solid, hands-on bookkeeping/accounting experience preferably with another CPA or professional services firm.
QuickBooks experience is essential.
Able to handle Payroll and Sales Taxes.
Able to work well independently.
Able to prepare taxes or ability to learn and support the Income Tax division.
Able to work occasional overtime as required, especially during busy season.
