Position Summary

Under general supervision of the Assistant Director for Business Services, the Extra Help Accountant I maintains efficient business processes and departmental accounting records for construction and remodeling projects administered by Planning, Sustainability and Project Management (PSPM) at the University of Illinois Chicago, prepares financial statements, and analyzes and monitors business operations, revenues and methods utilized by PSPM throughout the capital delivery process.
Duties & Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Any one or any combination of the following, totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the categories below:
    1. Work experience and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field
    2. College course work and/or training in Accounting or a closely related field (including 12 semester hours in accounting)
      • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
      • Associate’s Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
      • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
      • Bachelor’s Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
